From clothing drive to the "Baby Bundle" program
Our work began with a simple clothing drive for families in poverty. This initiative revealed an urgent need among pregnant women and new mothers for baby supplies, which led us to expand our services and create the highly requested Baby Bundle program.
Providing essential baby supplies and support
Inspired by the Swedish Maternity Package, our Baby Bundles are filled with all the necessary essentials for a baby's first few months. We source new items through community and local business donations, which are then distributed for free to those in need via frontline workers like midwives and social workers. We also signpost mothers to other available support services.
Mentorship and informational support for new mothers
Recognising that many recipients are young mothers facing significant challenges like mental health issues, addiction, or abusive relationships, we've added a mentorship component and an informational pack to our scheme. This support, specifically tailored for the postpartum journey, helps mothers understand their emotions and challenges, with trained mentors providing guidance on coping strategies for a healthy lifestyle.
